SC Farm Report on Thursday
Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Compared to last week no
comparisons made due to limited comparable sales. Light offerings of
average quality cattle due to inclement wether in the area with active
buyer participation. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs
315.00-325.00; 500-600 lbs 295.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-
500 lbs 315.00-320.00; 500-600 lbs none reported. Feeder Heifers: Medium
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 255.00, 500-600 lbs none reported. Slaughter
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 124.00; Boners 80-85% lean 115.00-139.00; High
Dressing 140.00-147.00; Lean 85-90% lean 111.00-123.00; Lean Low Dressing
40.00-97.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1250-1610 lbs 117.50-
140.00; High Dressing none reported; Low Dressing 1055 lbs 130.00.
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1115 lbs Young Aged Cow with Calf

Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs sold 1.36 lower at 67.98.
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 42.95; 450-500 lbs 46.82; 500-550 lbs 48.91.
SC Grain on Thursday. Corn was 5 cents lower; elevator bids 4.12-5.27,
processor bids 4.92. Soybeans were 3 cents higher; elevator bids 10.66-
11.66, processor bids 12.51, and export 12.66. Wheat bids were mostly 3
to 5 cents lower, one location 13 cents lower; elevator bids 6.13.
Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.83
higher at 72.99.
